AIM Education

Accessibility

Built so every teacher, and every learner they teach, can actually use it.

I am committed to making AIM Education meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page sets out my commitments and how to tell me about an accessibility barrier.

My commitments

What you can expect, on every page and in every video.

Captions on every video

All on-demand course videos and recorded live sessions ship with human-reviewed closed captions in English. Auto-generated captions are corrected, never published raw.

Transcripts you can read or print

Every video and audio resource has a downloadable transcript with speaker labels and time codes, useful for revision, screen readers, and teachers in shared staff-rooms.

Mobile-first, works on a phone

The platform is responsive from 320px up. Lessons, the forum and optional live online session booking should work on a phone.

Full keyboard support

Every interactive element is reachable with Tab/Shift+Tab, has a visible focus ring, and can be activated with Enter or Space. No mouse or trackpad required.

Readable contrast & resizable text

Body text meets 4.5:1 contrast (3:1 for large text). Layouts reflow cleanly at 200% zoom and respect your browser's font-size and reduced-motion preferences.

Screen-reader access

Pages should use semantic HTML and ARIA only where needed to support screen-reader access.

The standard I aim to meet

WCAG 2.2, Level AA.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 are the international benchmark for accessible digital content. Level AA is the threshold expected by UK public-sector regulations and most school procurement frameworks.

AIM Education aims to meet or exceed AA across the full platform. I will describe known barriers honestly rather than hide them.

Mobile access

Designed for the bus home, not just the staff laptop.

The platform should work on a phone as well as a laptop, including learning pages, the forum and optional live online session booking.

Tap targets meet the 44×44px minimum. Video playback supports system-level captions, AirPlay and Chromecast. You can resume a lesson on your phone exactly where you left it on your laptop.

No native app is required, and no app-store account is needed. Add the site to your home screen for a one-tap launcher.

Tell me about a barrier

Found a barrier? I want to hear about it.

If something on AIM Education is hard or impossible to use with your assistive technology, browser, or device, please tell me. I aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 working days and to fix or schedule a fix within 10 working days.

Prefer email? Reach me at hello@aimedu.co.uk. Or use the form below, it captures the page URL, your device/browser, assistive tech, and an optional screenshot.

Report a barrier

Tell me exactly what happened.

The more context you give me, the faster I can reproduce and fix the issue. Email is optional, if you'd rather stay anonymous, leave it blank.
