How does the programme actually run?

Thirteen units, self-paced online, with optional live online sessions. Every lesson works fully without a live session.

How much time does it take?

Most lessons take 45 to 50 minutes, in sittings of under an hour. Each unit is self-paced online, with a short start check and end check. Optional live online sessions can be booked by the school to fit around its calendar.

What happens if someone misses a live session?

The readings, workbooks and explainers for the unit stay available. Every lesson works fully without an optional live online session. Every reading published as a PDF also exists as accessible HTML on the platform, so nobody is locked out by the format.

Do teachers get a Unit record?

AIM Education issues Unit records, not certificates. A Unit record records completion. It is never an audit of an individual. No teacher's answers are shown to their school by name.

What do the start and end checks actually show?

They show what changed in staff knowledge, confidence and reported practice across the year, reported at school level. Every check fires on a progress milestone rather than a calendar date, so the start and end checks are comparable. Participants are never shown a score, because a participant who learns their score answers differently next time.

Can the programme be adapted to my school?

Within limits, and deliberately so. The units and the instruments stay as they are. Staff work through the online lessons in their own time, and the school can book optional live online sessions.

Do staff need to use AI tools to take part?

Accepted Answer

No. Every activity has a route that needs no AI tool, and nobody needs an account with an AI company. Where a school has an approved tool, staff can try the optional parts with it.

What data do you hold about staff and pupils?

Staff names, email addresses and progress through the programme. No pupil data is ever entered or held. Full details are in the privacy notice.

Is AIM Education funded by an AI company?

Accepted Answer

No. AIM Education is independent, with no tool partnerships and no referral fees, so the curriculum can say when not to use AI.
